Rusty chain - Dissapointed dealer response

Popped into my local dealer today Astle Grimsby had a quick chat with the service chap. I am Dissapointed with the condition and surface rust on my chain.

"Well you do have to look after them"

I'm no numpty the bike is mint never goes out in the bad weather, the bike was put away in the winter with a clean and freshly lubed chain and yet it still rusts.

To add insult there demo bike on the pitch is sporting a nice new gold after market chain????

My bike is a year old in June and has 2k miles and has not seen a wet road.

I paid over 12k for a bike with prestige brand backing to be fobbed off.

15000 miles on 1st chain no probs. Yes I clean it after every ride and use wurth dry lube which makes it easier to clean and re-lube

I got 10,000 on my first chain, with pretty much zero maintenance, using it every weather condition and leaving it outside with no cover.

At 10,000 it was in ok condition but had stretched more than my wife's ass after 2 kids.

And yet I agree the OEM chain is shite.

First chain was always showing signs of rust after a good clean a week later.

Got 17,500 on first chain, changed sprockets as well with a 45 rear tooth from here
