Just spent the last hour degreasing the chain, drying it off then lubricated it.

I removed the chain guard, wheeled the bike outside the workshop at work, cleaned the chain etc then dried it off, wheeled it back in then carried on drying it off using some air etc, then applied chain wax then stumbled across this nut.......is that from the bike or is it a random nut from one of my work machines? Thing is, I?m fairly certain I swept the floor earlier on and never noticed it then. Anyone recognise it?

P.s it was on the floor to the right hand side of the bike.

Stuartb is right, it is kind of a comfy nut.
Its from a shock absorber from a car ( Old one ) someone has tried to unscrew with a hammer and punch.

I wonder if it was outside when I had the bike on the stand and it’s managed to get stuck in between the wheels on the stand.....then transferred inside.

i won’t worry about it lol!
