OK chaps, measured 95db static but set the noise meters off on the drive by at 98. If I wrap the DB killer with exhaust matting and secure with wire will this help the noise come down significantly? I ask because I have a full race system Sil Motor and and worried about future track day noise bans. Any help appreciated in quietening her down a bit.

Went back out after a static re test (knowing where noise monitors were) used 4th instead of 3rd and no issues but does compromise the ride somewhat, I know one other S1000RR had a similar issue

Brands Hatch

The trackday static noise limit at Brands Hatch is usually 101 dB or 105 dB dependent on which circuit layout is in use. The drive-by noise limit is a much lower 92 dB.
