problem checklist for '11 S1000?

Hi all

With my s1 being just 5000miles old- full bmws service history, its a 2011.

Is there a checklist of components i should make sure to change before they decide to let me down?

Slightly concerned as my clutch cable snapped last night- and i understand this is common from reading on some forums.

Ive come up with a small list( recall issues) below

clutch cable?
switches?
steering damper?
oil sump?

I love the bike- I've just forked out for nearly full carbon panels on her, but i don't want to be in a situation where it lets me down at the most inconvenient time.

would appreciate any advice feedback

2010.... Never had a problem with cables or sump. Switches were changed and I changed the steering damper 'cos it was w**k. Depending on how you ride the suspension is adequate.

I know a fellow ower that has 50,000 plus miles and no out of the ordinary maintenance.
