I'm after a second hand rear pillion seat to cut up and mount a top box to. Did similar on my old gixxer with great results, as it meant the box was tucked up right behind me rather than hanging out the back on a frame.

Those on ebay seem to be asking ?90 plus. Ideas as to where to look?

You can spend ?350 ish on the official BMW pillion seat and peg option.... or for a cheaper option and assuming you want to carry a passenger and not a tail pack I suggest you look at a secondhand S1000R pillion seat as they're wider and flatter than the std humped job. I've got the comfort version fitted to my '15 bike (they're interchangeable between all years, it was previously on my '13RR) and together with a grab rail you can do a fair bit of distance two up in relative comfort. My '15 bike didn't come with pillion pegs either so I got some new secondhand ones off ebay, although the part numbers are the same (apparently) go for ones off a '12/'13 model which are identical to the '15 model rather than ones from a '10/'11 model which have more boxy styled hangers and gloss black finish.

.....or if you just want cheap go for a std humped pillion seat off any older model S1000RR and they'll fit straight on. Its a 5 minute job to change the locks over.
