Hi All,

I know many will frown at the thought of taking a pillion on a sports bike like ours, but the fact remains that whilst the missus does ride her own (CB1000R), there are occasional days out when she would rather just be on the back. The pillion position is a little extreme at the knee and I've found these:

although the can doesn't leave a lot of room...

Does anyone have any experience of these or are there any recommendations for an alternative?

Many Thanks
TIM

Performance Parts stock Gilles adjustable pillion peg options, don't have them fitted myself but if you plug in your bike details here you'll see what they have:

If you take her on the back regularly I'd also invest in a Renntec grabrail as you see on mine as its hopeless trying to carry a passenger without one, here's a pic:

Yep, titanium with carbon sleeve, black tip and de-stickered, had it on for a year now

pro's: it looks brilliant and with the db killer in is barely louder than standard but with much fruitier pops and bangs

con's: it's not BS stamped so strictly not road legal and to quote something Austin racing now put on their website but didn't when I bought it 'PROLONGED USE OF THE DB KILLER CAN RESULT IN DISCOLOURING AND POSSIBLE DAMAGE/FAILURE TO THE CARBON SILENCERS'

Not heard of alternatives i am afraid, my Mrs finds the bike 'comfortable' - how thats the case i'll never know. If it's problem I am sure there is someone on here that could manufacture something, i have a "friend of a friend" that could possibly help but at 40E maybe thats the answer in the link?
