I am looking at buying the titanium Akrapovic headers to go with the end can I already have. I have read from a recent thread on here on Power Commanders that I should use one of these in conjunction with the exhaust. My question is will the PCV work on all three of the riding modes (I do not use Slick) or will it just be set up on the one I choose, probably Sport. If it is set up in Sport how would the bike run when I occasionally switch to Rain mode?

Mine was set up on race . I asked same question regarding other modes and he said the fuelling is the same regardless of mode ie af =13.

The PCV will take zero notice of the modes.
The tuner will find the best balance.

If desperate you can have 2 maps and switch between them with an additional toggle switch.

I use user mode with slick key in but i do use rain mode as im a pansey it the wet lol

Why don't you use slick mode? As others have said the modes won't be affected by the pcv. What year is your bike?

I was about to say that Slick mode takes away x and y and some like their electronic back up. But is seems from this list that the only difference is the lack of ABS on the rear brake and the power freeze on lean is 5degrees later (hence the need for slicks).

If they are the differences then I'm more likely to give it a go now as I use race as it is. I assume the TC function is adjusted?

My bike is a 2015. I don't use Slick as I get enough kicks using Sport and I'm not an experienced sports bike rider. I like the idea of electronic intervention to make up for my bad riding. I took the bike out yesterday for the first time since November and it just blew me away with how quick it was. It was only after an hour when I refuelled that I realised that was even in Rain mode!!! Sport provides enough 'touching cloth' moments in my boxers.

Akrapovič

If your only using the bike in 'RAIN' and 'SPORT' modes then there is perhaps little value to be had in fitting Akrapovič headers at this point.

I agree with Ry1000rr
Get out on it and get some experience under your belt before you start spending big money on it
Use the money for tyres and juice

I agree with the value point but I am not doing it for that reason. Part of my wife's annual bonus is paying for it so I am not too fussed about value, she will get near new ring and earrings etc. However a better sounding bike that is lighter and therefore easier to throw around has to be a bonus. I am going to spend some dosh though with the California School this year though. I have always found with Akrapovic that there is always a healthy second hand market when you swap bikes so will recoup some money then. Unfortunately there are no second hand evolution line headers, I've been checking EBay for months. My bike club use Castle Coombe for their track days and my bike failed the noise test there so I have never managed to get that experience in a safe controlled environment yet. I can't even get 40* lean yet so I have total admiration for you guys who have the skill to push it into the 50's and a lot smaller balls.

Re: Akrapovič

59' on the track with road tyres. Loved it but nearly binned it i did

Akrapovič

Just bear in mind that the Akrapovič full system is significantly louder than the slip-on so if you do take it on track make sure that you check the circuit's static and drive-by noise test limits first. You may also want to consider the Akrapovič stainless steel headers as well. Whilst they are not quite as light as the titanium version they are still significantly lighter than the OEM system, half the price, and offer identical performance gains (when tuned properly).

User mode is a mode that u can customize to what ever suspension and u can adjust tc on the fly so i use user rather than slick as u cant change anything
