Hey all,
A good mate of mine runs a backyard detail business in his spare time and said he'd give the HP4 the once over.. I thought I'd share the results..
To kick things off a full decon began with the usual APC/foam mix. Dodo?s Total wipeout coupled with CG snow foam made short work of any product that had been sitting on the bike as well as the grime from its daily use
The wheels were cleaned with Ferrous Dueller and the Daytona brush which removed a moderate amount of fallout and left the wheel looking very matte. The mint brushes were well used just as they were with the 2015 SKRR we detailed end of last year.
A quick rinse, wash, clay, rinse and blow dry later, we had a clean canvas ready to go
The engine cover, winglets, heel and exhaust guards were removed to make the correction process easier and to ensure complete coverage when the coating was applied.
Probably the most worn section of the bike was the carbon tip of the Akra exhaust where the carbon had lost its clarity and shine and had become dull and cloudy. Two passes with a LC orange and HD Polish brought it back to life
