OEM Tank Bag S1000RR HP4 GEN2

Morning all,

Looking for a little advise or personal experience.
I?m looking to purchase an OEM tank bag (77 45 8 545 898) which apparently was made for Gen 3 (2015>).
Has anyone tried these bags on a Gen 2.
The attached pic states it does fit but all my local BMW garages don?t recommend it?s fit to Gen 2?s (HP4).
It?s a strap bag and so feel it should still fit even though the underside was pre-moulded for Gen 3.
Also the bag I?m looking at has a slightly different number, it ends with a 9 (77 45 8 545 899).
And before you all shout out about getting the fuel cap bracket, this bag will only be used 2-3 times a year

Any help would be much appreciated.

Says it fits the 2013+ which should be Gen2.

I can't find an 899 version...literally every catalogue says it doesn't exist so, pass...
