Hi Trevor, the first 600 will be over in a flash. You will still have fun learning the new bike prior to having the Hyperspace button engaged after 600 miles.

does the 17 model come with slick plug or is it built in now as has slick button on bars ?

Slick plug goes under the seat, you should be given one in the pack with your booklet and bits. It must not be fitted until after the 600 mile delimiter service.

wasnt sure as switch slick on grip thought might incorperated it

. The slick button is for changing the traction control value (DTC) when using it in slick mode.
