New wheels

A few of you might have noticed I have a pair of standard wheels for sale as I have changed to these oz wheels
Thought I might let you know what I thought of them
Whilst subjective in the few miles I've noticed the differences in this order

The steering is noticeably lighter and the bike appears to tip in much quicker
The brakes seem more responsive
Front end seems more flighty and I haven't really noticed any more acceleration
I believe the wheels are about 2.5kg lighter than stock which doesn't sound a lot , but I like the subtle changes they have made to the bike


Of course most importantly they are very very shiny and gold [move][/move]

I'll add to that since I have been on the track with the new wheels. Braking is the first thing I noticed which was an improvement. Bike always seemed to have good brakes, but noticed that it slows quicker with the less mass. The front end gets real flighty with more up/down/up/down hard on acceleration. The 2010 anti wheelie really gets a work out with these wheels.

Love the wheels and glad I purchased them.

they are forged and CNCed I believe.
You mean the rather more expensive magnesium ones.

I'm not a fan of gold wheels at all but they look great dude.

i'd keep an eye on tyre pressures with these wheels, a friend of mine who races kept losing pressure and it turned out the wheel had cracked where the spoke meets the rim this happenened on two different wheels.

Looking good , I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna weigh out for a set of forged mags or carbons, cos I want a new car first! Lol

Front , rear , hub side or rim side.?
Were , they the magnesium wheels or just forged ali?
