They're one of the best things in the world! I was in Cyprus last year and lots of people told me that they could be found there but I didn't find any - closest was a praying mantis. Cool but not chameleon cool. Wish you were a bit closer and I'd come and see him and his new home! :)

Yes Amadeus,I found one once at the top of a waterfall in Cyprus, when on holiday with Mrs RR. It had turned yellow like the sand it was standing on and was standing on two opposite legs, with the other two sort of hovering in mid stroke. The funny thing was it was sort of rocking forward and backwards with it's opposite legs still hovering. I was tempted to pick it up and show it to the better half, but cowardice intervened:uncomfortableness:

That is very cool and I'm very jealous.
The movement of them is wonderful. They take very precise steps.

See I'm a bit different to that.
I got bitten by an adder when I was about 10 because I thought I could quickly grab it behind the head. Note to self: adders are faster than me.
I got told off by a zoo keeper for reaching through the fence at Belize zoo and scratching the head of a cougar (which in fairness the cougar seemed fine with it).

A chameleon couldn't harm you but I think if you're not sure about how to handle something it'd be best not to - both for yourself and the creature involved.

You're probably wondering now - is this man safe to have a 200hp bike? Answer: Probably not... ;-)
