Been considering new tyre warmers. My 10 year old Race Tech ones are near the end of their life and have never properly fitted a 200 section rear.

Have noticed MPW seem to be popular in the garages these days.

Assume a few here must use them? I am looking at the digital ones with the thermostat Anything to be cautious about, or other brands I should be looking at? Or are MPW a good budget option?

thanks,

I swear by the Diamond warmers and I note that Alpha Racing sell branded Diamond warmers. The temp is highly adjustable so that I can lightly warm road tyres/wets or super heat slicks. I usually run them at 85c with slicks.

I think you have to spend a lot to beat them.
I've not used MPW to compare.

I've had two sets of MPW, the standard Orange and the Digital Grey sets.
They work well and are used on the BSB grid which gave me the confidence to buy them in the first place.
Now using the digital Diamond ones

How often are you guys using the thermostat to adjust temps, or are you using it just to know they are working and up to temp ~85 deg?
I vary based on tyre type and yes it's very nice to see the temps coming up...though always trust but verify.

I use Thermal Technology Dual Zone tyre warmers and they are brilliant. Temperature is adjustable which is useful when swapping between Wet, Intermediate and Slick tyres as the heating recommendations change depending on which tyre brand and type that you are using.

I use MPW tyre warmers and I've had no issues with them at all. I bought the basic orange ones as I was new to track days, but wish I'd bought the ones you've been looking at

I tested my old warmers over the weekend before committing to a purchase. I knew they were a bit **** and didn't fit well, but still pretty surprising results. I upped my budget to spend a bit more on a premium pair and forego the adjustability as I don't (yet) have wets for the RR.

Went for Capit Suprema Spina.

Temps after an hour:

edge | center | edge
37°C | 67°C | 37°C - Race-Tech
70°C | 96°C | 70°C - Capit

Thanks all for the responses above,
