The contract actually runs from 2015 to 2020 but silverstone ain't happy and keep challenging the requests made "it's not fair they could get funding 50million" as the land is common land the owners need to replace that "common land" somewhere else so we shall see what happens me for one believes it's a great idea as it would put us in line withe the likes of Spain ie government funding to nurture young talent and maybe one day the grid will be pre dominantly British riders instead of Spanish ruling the majority of championships.
