Saw that article, nice one mate! Will be interesting to see how S1KRR sales compare with full year R1 and 1299 sales, I bet the BMW is still well ahead. The Yam and Duke are just so bloody uncomfortable and impractical in comparison to the Beemer before you even start considering the finer points of performance, handling etc. I think that must be the sales clincher for many people.

Eh...Neeves says on a video it's not comfortable for long treks. Which is it?
Neeves changed his tune in last weeks MCN, in his final report on the R1 he said comfort was ok for a tankful but that was about it, he also said it wasn't that exciting to ride at road speeds. I haven't ridden a '15 R1 but I have sat on one, the bars are set low so a lot of weight on your wrists and the seats got no padding..
