My Solo DL arrived moments ago :)

Question: I have plugged in to the socket the alarm uses to power the DL unit. Is there another one of these on the bike I can plug into? Where?

Just bin the alarm already - it's a race bike now ;)
Could fit a tracker instead!

(Yes, indeed this doesn't answer your question)

It is a data logger so picks up all the ecu data too. Spoke to AJ and they thought the cable to the alarm was only power. Looking at it not all the pins on the plug to the alarm are wired so that kinda makes sense. Currently looking under the airbox.....

The alarm plug has data lines in it, so it should work, I don't think there are any 'spare' plugs with data lines in - can't think of a reason for it tbh.

If you find a blanked off plug with a resistor inside it that means there's can wires there

I'm guessing it's designed to connect to the alarm plug, you'd probably have to make a little loom to connect them both? Or bin the alarm like Alex suggested!

Pick of what I'm trying to find a home for..,

Have you tested it on the alarm plug? Does it not come with instructions? Haha

The can bus system is just 2 wires, that's where all the information runs, can't think what the other 4 pins would be for...

Again, I'm not 100% certain but there's only 1 spare 8 pin plug and that's the alarm..

Cheers Stephen. Those were not in the box! So I can confirm after taking all the top and side fairings off that it is accurate lol. Next problem is my laptop doesn't have a cd rom drive.

So is the Alarm effectively a pass-thru device? Can't see mine to check.

Also, the Bazzaz is taking my connector in the boot...anyone know of a splitter for this port so I could run the AIM and Bazzaz?

No the alarm is unplugged to use the DL. I'm leaving it on the bike because swapping the plug is a 10 second job for when I'm not using the DL. Tbh the setup is good because it leaves the canbus port on RHS at the front of the bike available for the Garmin.

I don't know of a splitter, if you bought BMW plugs I could make one :)
