Hole in airbox - is this normal

Hi guys.

In my s1k 2011 I noticed a hole in the airbox when I was checking the air filter.

Should it have a pipe on it or something?

It is on the left filter side when sitting on the bike.

May be a drainage hole for water fed from ram air bud.

Cheers. Thought so. Realised it was on the outer side of the filter not the inner. Would have expected a little drain pipe going down - but then again that would add a "bit of weight".

Yeah there is no need for a pipe as its rain water.
