considering getting a 1000rr so gonna b lurking and looking around for a bit to c what I would b letting myself in for. Got a 2003 r1 at the moment had it for about 4yrs and fancy a change.

Welcome mate, had a 05 R1 a few years ago which I loved but S1000rr is a different beast altogether!
