Hi,

I have been looking for ages for an ideal second bike to complement my current bike, a GS1250. After many test rides of all kinds of things, today I bought a 2020 plate S1000RR M Sport in Hockenheim silver and am delighted with it. It is being spruced up by the dealer and I will collect in 10 days or so.

I have always found forums like this a great source of information so am looking forward to learning and getting involved.

Hi ! Usually the other way round. M sport and the GS for relaxed riding lol. If your current is the GS, what is the M sport for?

GS for touring, riding long distances, commuting, riding with pillion and being my daily ride.

S1000RR for track days and more spirited rides in the Peak District.

Nice to have both.

I test rode the XR, Multi V4S, a Streetfighter, the S1000R, a KTM Superduke and a Tuono V4. I liked them all but not enough to buy them although it was a close call with the Streetfighter V4S - loved that bike.
