Hello everyone,

Just got myself a 2012 s1000rr. Had it for a week now and Just got back from a four day trip to Wales covering over 1200 miles, the bike is amazing so far and I'm mad up with how well it handles the tight Welsh mountain roads!

However, I did have a slight problem twice on my trip. When I started the bike the engine fired up as normal but the enging manigment light stayed on and the throttle had no response, I killed the engine and when restarted it was fine.

Was wondering if anyone has had this happen before?
Thanks
Shep

Hi, not one I've heard of but if you pop in to the dealer they can check the ecu for fault codes and fix or give you a clean bill of health. Warranty?

Yeah got a warranty :).
Would the ecu still log an error if the light has gone out?
Thanks

Yes I believe so. No throttle response would suggest an ecu engine management problem intervention saving the engine, which would be logged and later downloaded by the dealer.

interested to hear the outcome.
