Hi All

Am in the market for a new bike and am looking to get a GEN 3 S1000rr in the next few months.
Am hoping to find out the good and bad bits about the bike from the people that get to ride them on a daily basis.

Welcome Daz, simple really it's all good, the original chain rusts on sight so take a good look at the condition or budget for an after market one otherwise I can't think of any bad bits

You?re certainly in the right place to find out more about S1000RR?s, there?s a wonderful community on here, loads of information and a variety of riders, from all flavours of road riding to dedicated track-day guys.

The Gen 3 RR?s are amazing bikes, though I might be ever so slightly biased lol [emoji6]

In all seriousness though, I?ve used my Gen 3 for committing, weekend fun and a handful of track days. It?s been the best bike I?ve owned by a country mile and it never ceases to excite and impress me in equal measure.
You?ll find we?re all rather fond of our bikes on here, and I am sure you?ll get all the reassurance you need that an S1K is the bike for you [emoji4]
