Will an adjustable Gen3 (2015) steering damper physically fit a Gen 1 bike?

The Gen 1 (2010) steering damper is crappy,we all know that.
But I see that the Gen 3 is fully adjustable.

So will it work?

Thanks.

Found that the Gen 3 damper is sloppy already and it's only don't a few tests and a race weekend.
Looking to see if anyone had a rebuild kit with better needles and diaphgrams available. Hopefully KTech will.

Gen 2 steering damper is adjustable, isn't it that same as the gen 1?

Is the Gen2 damper any good as in adjustability and being better than the Gen1?

The Gen1 is electronic,so if its disconnected/taken off ,would it throw any fault codes?

I dont know if it's better fella. I don't have a gen 1 to compare. Never had any issues with the steering damper on my HP4 (gen2).

If you have a look here you can drill down to the steering part numbers:

All 3 generations have different part numbers but 2 and 3 look the same to me, plus it look like the 2 or 3 should fit a 1st gen, but maybe worth a call to a dealer to double check?

If a company does a rebuild kit it will be equally as good. And substantially more cost effective. You can't see it so no requirement... In my opinion.
As long as it works properly

is the Gen 3 damper a good damper?

Theres a few going on Ebay for not alot of money at the moment,so just wondering if it might be a cost effective upgrade to the Gen1 non adjustable damper.
