Jesus, and I thought Ducati was expensive for parts! I've a horrible feeling I might need a new sensor after having trouble sorting out spacers on my spare wheels.

Re: 2D Front Sensor

why will you need another sensor? shouldn't make a difference what wheels are on.just give me a shout if your strugling fitting them

I've a horrible feeling I've damaged my front wheel sensor trying to work out spacers on my spare wheels! Does anyone have a spare that's definitely working that they would sell as i might as well keep a spare for the season even if the won I have is ok? I thought Ducati was bad for parts prices but nearly had a heart attack when i checked the BMW prices!! :)

I'm not 100% sure but I think I accidentally used a spacer that was too narrow and the sensor was right up against the disc. I had no front speed signal since doing that hence why I think thats the issue.

I had to stop using the wheels in Portimao because I couldn't work out which spacers were correct. I don't have the bike here now so I'm not able to look at it unfortunately but I've asked someone to take a look for me as I need to get them right for Jerez in February. I'll give you a ping once I have it back if I'm still having problems.

The front just uses the axle there are no spacers even on the titax.

So my guess is you loosened the clutch side pinch bolts and moved the axle nut. Which moved the wheel closer to the sensor.

Either that or an ABS ring is out of true.

i've got a spare you can try to see if that is the issue, but as you,i like to keep things like this just in case ;)

i can post it down when your back from oz,then can just grab it back in jerez.

if the traction is working, then it's not the sensor
