Fan coming on

My fan comes on within about 30 seconds when I stop. Coolant is fine. It runs in the 80 deg mark when riding but as soon as I stop the temp goes up really quick. Is that norm on a S1000? Or could it be my radiator cover causing it?

Yup, 1000's run hot apparently...wait till summer!

Yup, mine regularly runs at 100 in traffic and below 80 when it's being given beans.

Thanks for replies. I thought I would check as I have never had a bike getting hot that quick before. Last summer I put it down to the weather being hot but yesterday it was the same even though it was cooler.

My Fireblade was the same 100 degrees in traffic, back down to 80 as soon as you got moving again.
