Hi gents,
looking for assistance with setting my bike up for track.
ive just installed a refreshed engine. I now need to sort the quickshifter and engine management.
First thought flash Ecu and use standard quickshifter.
Second option power commander with translogic intellshifter.
Third bazzaz system with HM shifter.
please pass on your experience, so I have the best set up.

You don't say what year you have? On my '10 I went de-cat and pc which was great. HM shifter I just could not get a good setting and sure it contributed to a new box.

Ah, it's a 11 plate. I've just bought a new engine as it seized after a new gearbox instalment.
i don't want to buy another engine. So I'm opting for some advise.

My best thought would be the same solution I did.
Use an HP Race ECU or flash it to HP race ECU (if you check you can find solutions)
Buy an RCK kit cable from Alpha Racing (their own not BMW)
Then add a Power Commander so you will be able to make maps for each gear

Up until now I haven't found a better setup. I have tried BrenTuning Flash but I always want to be able to do my own changes and with Race ECU you can do many good things:nevreness:. The bike feels amazing and you can transform it from a kitten(Road) to a beast(Track) with 1 click.

So engine and box or complete with head? I'd stay away from hm shifter....OE shifter was better when I went back to it, the slight delay means it shifts without mashing the box. You just have to be more positive on the shift, after all it's more like a tractor box, worse thing about the bike lol. Definitely not as good as the jap boxes...

Thanks for your reply. Who could flash the Ecu. RCK kit cable is new to me, I'll look on alpha website. I've purchased a power commander, I take it I will need to download some maps from dynojet site.

Thanks for your feedback. I haven't looked at my engine that seized, The gearbox was replaced 500 miles ago, my understanding is, if you don't clean out the tubes 100 %, the remnants of the failed gearbox, will come back and haunt you. Crankshaft failure. HM will now be sold.
Ah Jap bikes, my Fireblade gearbox smashed to bits, 6 months ago, second day at Almeria. New gearbox installed with nova gears.

Don't bother downloading maps, every engine runs different, get it on a dyno and mapped specifically. My 06 blade and 08 gixxer box was awesomely smooth and slick, to the point I thought I had made a mistake when I bought the bimmer....
