Hi Guys,

Was out on my 16 plate gen 3 the other week. I noticed that the engine management light came on. When I got home, I checked and the battery earth terminal was a bit loose. Tightened this up but made no difference.

Currently use it in 'user mode' and -5, but have noticed that each time I cycle the ignition, the traction control resets to '0'

I've fitted a new battery as the earth terminal was suspect. Still got the same issue with EML and the TC returning to '0' - anyone got any ideas?

Everything else seems to be working properly so its a bit of a mystery!

Fault

You may want to plug the bike into a GS-911 to check for fault codes. Alternatively, take it to your local BMW dealership and they will connect it to their diagnostic system to check for faults.
