What are the chances of getting a clear 2 or 3 days to do one last mini tour of the north and west coasts this year?

I think youd be lucky..very lucky.. 1 day is a big ask..2-3 nice dry days is nigh on impossible id say... id be up for a day out tho.

We'd be so lucky. I went to the lakes at the weekend hoping for some sunshine,Friday wet,Saturday ok in places and some good riding,Sunday coming home from borders onwards was a test even for my Kriega kit lol

I did the NC500 a few weeks back - Falkirk back to Falkirk over 3 days - 880 miles in total - Day 2 from Gairloch to Thurso was absolutely soaking - I had full waterproofs on and I was still soaking......suppose it's just your luck as the 3 days before I went would have been brilliant !

How accurate are the 5 day weather forecasts for the north coast and Highlands?
The BBC weather app (for example) makes a reasonable stab at the headline weather a couple of days in advance in England, Wales and NE. Europe where I've done most of my touring.

I've found the BBC weather app to be pretty accurate, for about the week before I did the NC500 it was predicting exactly the weather I got.......

Jimmy mac swears by the BBC app. I also use XC Weather app fishermen use it. I find it pretty accurate too.

The Met Office app is pretty good up to 3days in advance. 5 days is pushing any forecast, particularly at this time of year.
