Ive been using Road Sinter SBS now for a good few years..... whipped out my pads I fitted last year, they are around 50pc worn and I will replace late spring.

Ive never had any issues with SBS...wear rate..no fade..etc etc are all good but browsing around Ive been looking at Brembo Sintered fronts....circa 120 bangers for an axle set as opposed to 45 for SBS...so the question is pretty obvious.

Your comments are welcome

Cheers. S.

I have always used sbs mate and they feel spot on , never felt like I need more brake power, mabey am not braking late enough though lol

I know Davy... I've never been unhappy, just wondered if it's worth the 3 x price tag..are they really that much better

from my perspective, all day, every day, but thats not road.
Obviously also looking to make it even better with the GPRX calipers with only 2 pads per side.
But from a race perspective Brembo stock or their better brother.

Ive been on sbs for my road bikes for 4 yrs and found them more than enough. Ive gone onto sbs carbons for my track bike this year as well to see what they are like. First 2 trips are to spain so im hoping warm weather and no rain should equal out any negatives with these pads

I use Brembo but TBH I doubt you'll see much difference for just road riding, and if you have no good reason to change, 'don't fix it if it aint broke'. Save the money :).

Front Brake Pads

For road only use I would just use the OEM Brembo front brake pads. That said if your happy with your current brake pads then there's not really any reason to change.

Re: Front Brake Pads

Might be a silly question, but are the OEM BMW pads the same as Brembo ones but with BMW stamped in them.

Like the oil filters made by Mahle.

No they have Brembo on them mate. And they come in a little clear box not a blister package so no advertising on them.
