alpha Racing Carbon Fibre Race Fairings

The paint scheme is similar to that of the Penz13 BMW Race Team (http://penz13.com/en/) which replicates the OEM Motorsport colours. I really like the corporate BMW blue, white and red colours so I wanted to keep the paint scheme similar. I also quite like the headlight decals now found on WSBK race bikes. It might not be to everyone's taste but then I'm the only person that gets to ride it. I chose not to have a race replica paint scheme done as they change every season and tend to date. That and I also didn't want to cover it in stickers as I'm not running any form of sponsorship as I'm not racing.

My painter was cognisant of the fact that he was working with carbon fibre so very little paint was actually used to save weight and the bellypan, which is perhaps the largest of the carbon fibre parts, remains unpainted. The whole race fairing set, including screen and mounting kit, weighs just under 3 Kgs. Combined with the weight savings made by fitting lightweight wheels and the Akrapovič HP full titanium system the bike is now significantly lighter than standard.

Weight

I'm yet to weigh the bike but I will try and do so the next time I'm on track and have access to a scrutineering bay.

I too was a little surprised that you kept the paintwork kinda standard but there's no denying it's a terrific paint job

Lind Motorrad

I received my S1000RR back from Lind Motorrad today albeit with a few small additions. They also very kindly fitted my Metzeler Racetec RR slicks whilst the bike was in their care.

MYLAPS Transponder Bracket

Fitted to the frame for mounting a race transponder for the occasional Focused Events Chrono trackday. I've since added tie wraps to ensure it remains secured in place.

BMW HP Carbon Fibre Front Mudguard

I've had a HP carbon fibre front mudguard fitted to replace my white OEM one as it was looking rather used after two seasons worth of trackdays. Visually it compliments my race fairings and is also a little bit lighter than the OEM version.

your bike really is epic ry, surprised your still finding stuff to buy! lol

Thanks. There is one final part to be fitted but that's only just been shipped after several months wait. After that it will just be a case of replacing tyres and consumables and spending as much time on track as possible.

I did toy with a carbon front mudguard (considering the rest of the carbon i have). Wasnt sure if i wanted to replace any of the motorad colours though as ive just removed the black plastic tosh. That looks good though

BMW HP Carbon Fibre Front Mudguard

I've only fitted it as my OEM white one had several large scratches on it from lots of track use and countless wheel changes.

Beautiful bike [emoji106][emoji106] I'll keep a eye out for you at the tracks
