Just bought a 2013 S1000rr to convert into a race bike, what do you guys think of the bitubo fork cartridges and shocks? Are they any good for racing?

I would imagine Buildbase use it on their BSB Superstock bike.

Yeah true but naturally they'll have the best of support from bitubo so was just wondering if anyone has used them and how do they get on with it

I think it's mostly personal preference.Whether it makes a difference because Ohlins,Ktech etc.have numerous agents whereas,as far as I am aware,Hawk/Buildbase are the only UK agents,i don't know.
I had a Bitubo shock on a gsxr1000 which worked very well, yet I had a Ohlins TTX on a previous s1000rr which pumped at the rear-I replaced it with a ktech which cured the problem instantly. From that moment I have always used ktech.

The K-tech DDS is THE shock to have. But the Bitubo XXF031 is a good 2nd.

I like my Ohlins NIX30's cartridges pretty good on the road and track, though I'm working on reducing the dive, I appear to get down to the bottom. Seems to be the key is to get the right spring rate front and rear. Once that's right the damping will follow.

Buildbase know their stuff, my rear came from them, mine is actually some hybrid of the 031 V2 and 041. Build quality of Bitubo is very high.

Thanks lads I'll have a good look into them,
I've worked with KTech and ohlins for years but not had anything to do with bitubo.

No Problem at all Phil
I have all the gear for doing ohlins and Ktech but im struggling to get hold of the Bitubo stuff
biyubo themselves are either deaf and blind or they dont read emails and dont answer the phone, buildbase again impossible to get hold of, i rang a few independent companies today and theyre going to look into it but im not holding my breath.

One company i rang (No Names mentioned) told me i was being cheeky asking to buy the kit after he had invested money in training to be able to use it, haha i told him how much money i had spent in the last 6 months on training and equipment and he soon went quiet.

So the upshot is, i just cant bloody get it
