Bike won't start

Bike past mot Friday. Went out this morning won't start.

Key in and turned on
dash lights up and fuel prime sounds
push starter nothing happens

Noticed starter motor staying on for second or two after it starts recently. Today when it wouldn't start I couldn't change modes from sport/race/slick, but after maybe 5 minutes it changes modes. Starter switch feels a bit lumpy not as smooth as I remember it.

Ideas please.

Try batt terminals, seems to a common thing

But the bike powers up and fuel primes. If terminals are loose would they not light up. I'm at a loss here. I'm gonna assume starter motor or rh switch gear.

Update. Sprayed wd40 in rh switch gear. Bike now starts like a champ. Is this the start of my switchgear starting to fail.
