Hi guys

Anyone thinking about doing Brands on the 26th Sept with Easy Track ?

Lol, Brands is one of the most expensive tracks in the world to rent. Its probably my fav track, very hard work as there isn't any time to rest. Paddock Hill is an amazing corner ;D

As it happens, it's looking like I won't be doing this now. Iv heard a few too many story's about the Shift Assist killing gear boxes. Gonna book the bike in at HM Racing and get one fitted. Shift assist is good for road use however for heavy track use, it's poo poo

:(

If it was snetts I would of gone! I don't use the quick shifter on bike that much,I'm not like you pros lol found myself only using it half a dozen times on Monday.
So when is the next easytrack day at snetts? I suppose it's next year now d'oh!

Well it gives me time to look for track bike,or think about turning mine into one ;,)

It says in the Manual that Shift assist is no good for up changes near max rev's, its on page 65 ;) but I would have thought thats when everyone would want to use the thing  Gassing it and changing up near max revs ;)

When you are riding at constant
speed with the engine revving
high in a low gear, upshifting
without disengaging the clutch
can cause a severe reaction to
the load change. BMW Motorrad recommends disengaging
the clutch for upshifts in these
circumstances. It is advisable to
avoid using the shift assistant at
engine speeds close to the limits
at which the governor cuts in to
limit engine rpm.

If that's not tempting fate, I'm not sure what Is lol

just had mine replaced on my trusty 2011 model after 12k miles , I would have to say it feels a bit agricultural in comparison to the other , will see if it loosens up.
Its not uncommon for a manufacturer to cut costs on bikes a few years in though :p
