Bike has been repaired at last from the accident in May. Exhaust was replaced so had to take the baffle out again. This time did it in about 5 minutes!
I cannot emphasise how much better the bike sounds after doing this. Much better overrun popping and on down change.
Also did it without marking the exhaust. Use a dremel to break the weld in the screw hole and then lever it out with a flat head screwdriver inside the screw hole again. This should loosen it enough to get a larger screwdriver behind the baffle with something against the exhaust to protect it. Gentle wiggles and she's out :emmersed:
 
I made up a slide hammer to remove the baffle after the Dremel
