1st day pi$$ed down so no track time, 2nd day 3 sighting laps and started a misfire. Found someone with a spare coil pack and spent the day changing one for one but no difference. Maybe was 2 down but was so fkd off just re-assembled everything and sulked. 4days worth of track, 4days worth of insurance, flights, hire, travel down the drain.

Negatives... All the above

Positives ..... No tyre wear, no fuel used, no crash bills, late night early morning at the bar.

Group I was with all offered their bikes but it's not the same especially in my frame of mind and non fault accidents.

Will be back with BMW when it returns, friggin German piece of shyte !!

Rant over ....

Almeria?. Where the sun is always out. That?s a bugger. When is your next event?

Punched in my bike for recalls, seems it is up for camchain adjuster. Maybe it's jumped a tooth.... Bikes back this saturday 3rd so we'll see when it goes in...

is it throwing up any fault codes? Usually when the timing is out enough to cause running issues then it throws up fault codes.

this is sad to see......maybe i should buy some spare coil packs for my gen 3 when im on euro trackdays

I seem to notice a trend with them going faulty.

Is it common for gen 3 too?

been tracking gen2+3's since 2016, never once had a coil stick issue (on my 4th bike..).only recurring issue i have really is twist grip sensor, which invariably comes down to battery connection not being stupidly tight.

Never had a problem with my gen1 & 3 electrics.
