Air bleed system in exhaust

I was listening to a biking podcast yesterday that said the S1000XR has an air bleed system in some models to increase the popping/banging on the overun and it got wondering if there was a similar system in the S1000RR and if in which gen's it was in? I am looking at getting an S1000RR after owning solely Japanese superbikes before and have always thought they sounded tasty on the overrun!

Don't know about earlier, but both Gen 3 and 4 have got this. But I wouldn't say it's a selling point. They feel a little artificial to me, my 2008 ZX-10R was so much nicer on the overrun with just a Yoshi end can

My 4 only does it on initial change down, not all the way down the revs.
