On the Gen4 you ideally want the 175mm version...but Alpha did an adapter for the 150mm in the end...

More? or less? who else does them ?
Give Dave Carnel at HM Racing a call, he was telling me about alternatives back in days. Not sure if he managed to manufacture one.

Otherwise, you can inquire whether I2M sensor would work with BMW ecu. It's 260gbp

any pot sensor will work, you just need the correct end plug for the loom,or just do a bi of splicing. they are very simple in how they work, just like a variable resistor

As above, there's no magic with them. Its just the fitting which is nice and convenient with the official one. Its worth mentioning on top of this that whilst being Alpha it is pricey, it's not actually that much more than other brands. The sensor needs to be high quality because of the environment its working in and alternatives are not that much different in price. You can get cheaper ones but they are not likely to last. Take a look at the options on the Aim website for some price comparison. I think both Aim and Alpha get them made by someone else so if you can find who that is or someone similar then you will save some cash but I've not had time or motivation to do that.

i suppose once you've taken the price of the fitting kit into consideration theres not much in it if you go the generic route

Re: 2D Sensor

Think he's asking in relation to the non-2D

I would imagine it should just work as well.

Might require calibration tho, and I have no idea how to do it on standard ECU. DDC reset ?

Front Potentiometer

It?s definitely better value than the 2D sensor.

Did you fit the fortis one in the end and was it plug and play with the std ecu and wiring as I?m getting different stories on it.
Thanks
