is it worth fitting the 2D sensor on the front of my bike. 2015 road use only..have many on here fit it?

2D Front Fork Travel Sensor

I have a 2D potentiometer fitted to my S1000RR which I predominantly use on track. In my opinion, for road use only, it is not required as the standard DDC damping settings are more than sufficient. For track and race use it is hugely beneficial.

Doesn't it slightly reduce your lock to lock steering angle?
It's a shame it is required at all... the software will exist for more control without it - in the automotive world.

2D Front Fork Travel Sensor

With the supplied lock stops fitted it does noticeably restrict full steering lock from being applied in order to protect the sensor. You can fit it without the supplied lock stops but using it without them is definitely not recommended as the potentiometer is very delicate. Personally I would be reluctant to use the sensor without the lock stops fitted. That said my S1000RR is generally only used on trackdays so its not an issue. Ultimately the 2D sensor is a race part not designed for road use however on track and for datalogging purposes it is ideal.
