It would be a shame if they have dropped the carbon fibre fairings as they do make the bike a bit special. That said most of the M1000RRs go straight to the race teams so it all goes in the parts bin. At last count there were only 9 sold to regular customers in the UK according to my BMW dealer.A black one without the cost of carbon fairings might be more tempting.
Service intervals are the same, but scope of work is different (and more expensive). Having owned both, the MRR’s engine spins up noticeably faster than the SRR. I would go so far as saying that both are pointless on the road. The M definitely so.Doesn't the M have shorter service intervals than the S, and require a rings and bearings refresh a lot earlier too. For use on the road, it seems like pointless willy waving to me. Just like a Ducati R.
I’m willing to bet the price tag hasn’t changed for those 6 Bhp!+6hp...better place my order.
