Popped down to the show today (what a different prospect that is when your home is just a few stops on the tube away).

All 3 Tyco bikes;
1x Race Bike
1x Road wth HP bits bolted on
1x Road with nothing else
All were painted ;)
Was nice to see the Race bike had a couple of bits on it which I've chosen for mine :)

Managed to sit on a S1000RR with a comfort seat on it. I could feel the difference, much softer and spongier, whilst also flattening the section in front of the tank and reducing that normal slope forward. I could be convinced but not for ?200+. And the white strip jars, plain black is all I want.

There was a Black/Red model new for 2016. I have to say the red infil looked much better in the flesh I could be convinced, although, tbh they could offer these in about 6 colours for no real cost and really open up some choice.

R9T's do look rather nice...but it was the fully kitted R1200RS which caught my eye whilst I've got half a mind to get something to stick the other half on.
S1000XR's seem to have had the air intake blocked up with a DRL, wtf?

Agreed! Ugly! What is the bike with the enormous rear wheel and triple exhaust out the back?

Ugly +1.

Is it a fatboy? I got passed by something with a rear tyre like that a couple of years ago (I was riding in a group that was taking it steady, honest). It was going very, very well.

I don't think the R1M is ugly it is different though.
MV's and Panigale's are lookers in the segment - the others just all mean business or locked in a time warp.
Thought I had another shot of the Triple exhaust fat tyred thing...but it's a different one.

Another angle of the Indian

Didn't really look - that one I posted then removed looks to be Speed Triple based.

I don't have a shot of the really fat one.

Great pics Alex, having sat on the latest R1's I find the seat rock hard and the bars too low for my aged body. No doubt the R1(M) would be brilliant on track but I don't think they make much sense as a road bike, however I may blag a test ride just to make sure!!

It's definitely less compromised out of the box for track use. RR is still the king of all rounders. Sat on the RSV4 too. What surprises me a lot with these bikes is the relative lack of tank height in the V between your legs. The RSV4 is very low it seems. I like a chunk of bike there to really lean on.

Agreed, but this is why a lot of the litre sports bike no longer make for practical road bikes as they're being designed for 5ft nothing riders (have you stood next to Leon Haslam?!) to win WSB races on and not for your average British (or wherever) biker to use

Great pics and love the R1M bit too tall for me lol

Mr. Soof! Mr. Soof! MacRR is picking on me!!
Im 5'6"

With my Cuban heels on :p

That crappy Scottish whether stunted your growth Loupe?! Surely there must be more to do up there in your spare time than cross dress.. :highly_amused:

The weather is crap, you would have thought I'd be 6,6" with all the rain we get..
I blame the big boys teaching me to inhale embassy regal when I was 7 :disillusionment:
Kilt and Cuban heels, whatever do you mean about cross dressing??!

Too tall for me when I tried one for size though and I'm 5ft 7in.... Racers only have to put their feet down twice, once at the start and again at the end of the race.
