    Donnington 29th August BMW/Tyco day

Hi Serotonin, my missus is coming too so I phoned FE and guess what? Non-paying 'pit crew' are NOT allowed in the hospitality - it is only for the riders !!! I can imagine my missus putting up with that. So stuff 'em, we are packing some sarnies like you. Not sure about yours but my missus...

Hi and welcome mate. I'm often up that way to see relatives in Murthly, just south of Dunkeld. Sadly not on my bike :(

    Vibration through bars

Guys, as someone who also suffered from tingly hands after a ride on several bikes CBR600, ZX6R, Fireblade, S1K, I did a lot of research on the matter. I rode a lot of other bikes, including a GSXR1000 which the owner said was like a sewing machine - more like a steam engine compared to my...

    Bye bye blade hello S1000

Did the same move a couple of years back. Like RROB said, you won't regret it.

+1 Ventura. Can't fault it despite some 'antics'.

Sump replaced free by BMW East Kilbride

Same here. The oil sump was replaced when it went in a for service last year. They said it was an 'unacceptable level of corrosion'. Fair play to BMW Balderstons Peterborough - they did a great job and I had a loan bike during the service.

what was your bike before the s1rr

Had my first foreign bike trip on the Blade. South of France, Route Napoleon, N202, N85, lovely. Had my second foreign bike trip on the Blade as well. South of France again. Caught speeding, fined 90Euros. Not lovely. Had my third foreign bike trip on the Blade as well. Normandy. Got wet.

what was your bike before the s1rr

08 Fireblade for me. I loved that bike but the battery died twice on me. My fault, I put a pair of projector HIDs on it and the battery couldn't take it. OK when running but when I switched off the lights stayed on for 30 secs. They take a lot out of the battery when the bike isn't running...

    Bored, bored, bored

Weather is crap and the only time it has been good lately, I have been too busy with work and other 'stuff'. I need my speed fix. :( Might take my Strumpet out in the gales forecast for Monday and laugh at the weather gods whilst giving them the finger !!

And if you had "A1" on a plate you probably wouldn't worry about a £100 fine ;)

    Dashboard lights

Hi All, Thought I've a quick blast tomorrow between showers. So I checked the bike tonight, tyres, oil, chain - usual stuff. Bike has been laid up on a trickle charger since 18 October when I had a op on the left wrist so really keen to get out there. Tried to start it and the dashboard lights...

    Hi from Bedford

Welcome aboard mate. I'm in Godmanchester and often bum around Bedford after doing B660

    Collected my new ride

Mine was 98 miles to first refill, probably because BMW don't fill it up to the top. I've managed 150 to a tank but that was very steady. 120-130 is usual with a worse of 80 on a mad track day:)

    Operation Normandy

It isn't the prettiest of things and it won't win any beauty contests, but I have a morbid fear of my under crackers flying out down some French B roads as well as them falling off and getting caught in the chain/wheel/whetever. So this serves its purpose until we get there and then the A frame...

    Hello All

Welcome along mate. The S1000RR is awesome so enjoy it. Fatbob - I had similar-ish problems with insurance (my existing company wanted more than double the cost of the Blade) but BMW Insurance were the cheapest - they dealt with the dealer direct and they were very efficient.
