Well I didn't need to create an argument. BMW have agreed to cover the parts cost. Dealer messaged today saying they hope to have all parts by end of the week and I can have bike back at the weekend. Not sure the weather will find that agreeable though. Can't make up its bloody mind

Had my call back from BMW today. And it is the oil pump that has gone. They're asking HQ if there's any goodwill available to change the part.

Having spent most of my riding life in West London, the opening up of bus lines to motorcycles was most welcome. Though it was only TFL run lanes and some of the local council operated lanes were not opened up to bikes, which does make it annoying. Recently moved up to Northamptonshire. Still...

Gen 3 M reasrsets did go lower than standard. Had them on my one. Even with my short legs I felt like the standard setting was too high.

Saw a Gen4 with a full system down at Loomies last year and it was obnoxiously loud - even through my earplugs! Got a Racefit can on mine (same as LCR put on his demo bike) and I'm quite happy with the volume. Louder than stock, but not going to be upsetting anyone and sounded really good...
