Leave the battery connected, I always do. I put a charger on mine each month for a couple of hours.

For me it's important to have more than one line of defence, that's why I have a cctv camera which sends a photo to my phone if triggered. A text alarm when triggered to a 2nd company phone and one other secret device.....oh and the tracker.

I got caught as well mate. Bought one of those ?11.99 units which was accurate to a mile lol. The Maplin device contains its own battery which lasts about 4 days if the bike battery is disconnected which also helps when installed on the drone.

Pop in a Vodafone sim, stick a tenner on it and that's it. The Vodafone PAYG sim never runs out like other cell net company's. completely happy with it. Accurate to 3 meters. I put it on my drone when I flying and have found the drone every time. Just don't nick my bike when I'm droning lol...
