    Help needed with wiring

They're tied together with a cable tie pal, pic with extreme wired up. Mistake I made was forgetting to switch the ignition off after testing and letting the plate light wires touch. That 4 amp fuse seems to control an awful lot.....

    She's finally Here

Yeh sorry guys, just checked the remainder of the kit and the 'fender' bit was supplied for the tip of the front mudguard. I just missed it. I appreciate that someone doing this for a living is likely to make a better job than me, don't dispute that and they'd certainly be quicker. I'm not being...

    She's finally Here

I've been using Tecflow ceramic chain spray for the last few years, seems to work well and doesn't fling. Only downside is you end up with a bright white chain. I might give the Wurth a try when it runs out then, one of the few I haven't tried. The hugger with chain guard combined was about...

    She's finally Here

Hi Darren, The full kit was £90 which I bought from Invisible patterns about 5 miles up the road from me: http://www.invisiblepatterns.co.uk I can't see how someone can charge £150 for applying some clear sticky back plastic, I never asked tho. I bought the whole kit but only did the tank...

    Big hugger.

I also have a HP4 with the holeless Ilmberger hugger installed for a non ABS bike and have no clearance issues whatsoever. When I was buying mine I realised the 20% off was on the cheaper racing version, not street. Street version has a better finish and is 259.90 euros on their site.

D3 Tail Tidy - Plate SIze

I went for a 7 1/2 x 6 as the max width for the extreme was 8 so I thought I'd go slightly smaller. eBay show plate design your own special for 9 quid.

    She's finally Here

I bought the Ilmberger nose piece after I saw the quality of the hugger I'd just bought. BS motoparts shipped it in 2 days. I watched the YouTube video from hotbodies where they show you how to take off the whole front of the fairing http://youtu.be/DgwbY4nGDwU or search "hotbodies s1000rr...

    She's finally Here

Thanks for the info, i might skip doing the belly pan. i guess they don't want you covering the logos in case you remove the venture shield and they come off with it. i only really want to do the tank, lights and nose but the full kit was the cheaper option to get those parts covered.

    She's finally Here

Well I had the bike delivered yesterday provided I signed a disclaimer that I wouldn't ride it until 1st March. Spent most of today fitting D3 extreme tail tidy, Ilmberger front nose, Hugger (without hole) since I could do bugger all else. Have to say the carbon nose was a faff but worth it...

what was your bike before the s1rr

2011 ZX-10R ABS in green, still in the garage until the HP4 arrives. 4th ZX-10R, had all 4 gens as they came out. Started on an AR125 then 2 TZR125's, KR-1S, ZXR400, CBR600, ZX-7R, ZX-9R, GSXR1000 K1 then K3. Got my 1st bike as a cheap way to commuter to uni, all went out the window when I...

    Insurance

My insurance is with MCE, I was quoted £361 for a HP4 carbon for the year which given I've a Manchester postcode I didn't think was that bad. Couple of things to watch out with MCE though: 1. The excess is usually failrly horendous, mine's 1500 quid. My first 4 bikes didn't even cost that to...

    New owner in Manchester

I think Daz has the tail tidies powder coated rather than paint them. i decided to go for the carbonweb hugger but I've tried emailing an PM'ing them without reply. Has anyone else had a problem getting in touch with them? May have to go ilmberger and take a slug in the wallet if I draw a blank.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll get the non-abs version for sure. I'll have a look for the ilmberger, probably go with that or the carbon web as they both look great. just waiting of a reply from carbon web on availability. Bike was shipped with heated grips and alarm so I decided to keep...

    New owner in Manchester

Got the D3 extreme in HP blue ordered earlier today from Darren. The OEM plastic hugger and chain guard do look fairly awful so they will have to go eventually. Just can't decide whether ilmberg, carbonweb, zero limits or the multitude of eBay options. I can't justify £500+ for the genuine HP...

    New owner in Manchester

Hi all Just a quick hello from a new HP4 carbon owner, I should get it in March. 1st BMW, I come from a long history of Kawasaki and needed a change. Looking towards riding and a few tasteful upgrades. Grateful for any recommendations. Thanks in advance.
