The popping and gurgling is because the pair valve pumps air from the air box into the exhaust to help burn sunburnt fuel. It's to keep emissions down. It will do it no matter what exhaust you put on. The only time it will stop is if you disable the pair valve.

If you go to hilltops, get dynoed before and after the flash. This way you know what affect the tune had.

The motor would have been rebuilt/blueprinted. Not sure but i think they can shave the head and put a thinner gasket bumping compression. They would flash the ecu and do what other naughty stuff they can get away with. It's not a bone stock motor like you and i have.

i test rode the 2015 model today and then rode my 12 plate home with a big grin ! My bike with ohlins 30mm catridges and ttx shock, full sytem and tune was better ! The 12 plate and up looks way better in the flesh too. Your bike is everything the new one is and looks better :)

Regarding the ecu flasher mentioned, i agree with Marcus. I took my bike to be flashed and my bullshit radar went through the roof. I am toying with the idea of getting an auto tuner to go with my custom map i had done a year back.

I have always said to the lads at work i am amazed there are not more deaths as these bikes are beasts. I expect this will change when the used market filters down to those younger who can then afford one. I think if i had one when i was 21 i would also be a memory now.

I raised the same issue with the dealer and they said thats how they are, basically it's a design flaw. Go up to your bike with the wheel on and grab the sprocket and twist it back and forward and it moves. This is the first bike i have had that does this however i can't see any negative affects .
