BMW UK customer service contact info

Thanks Shug. Bananaman - I'll wait for confirmation from a mod that this is allowed - then I will happily name & shame as I've given them every opportunity to address my complaints - but when the service manager confessed to being 'not familiar with chain & sprocket final drive', I should've...

BMW UK customer service contact info

Hi, Can somebody please let me know (in this thread or via PM) the best email to use to make a complaint direct to BMW UK - preferably an email for someone who's standard answer to complaints about 7 week waits for a simple mechanical fix, mechanical incompetence & basic maintenance not being...

    Selling her, unfortunately, signing off

Hi Johnboy, No, my brief was an arse and let me down so I ended up attending court on my own and just spoke to the duty solicitor. I would do the maths on how big an error would be required to get you back under 6 point speed - would half a seconds difference in timing bring you back under...

    Selling her, unfortunately, signing off

Had a similar situation of 94mph in a 60 - ultimately went to court intending to plead not guilty (long story short) said I'd plead guilty to 89mph...and walked away with 5 points. Seemed a little odd to me but I wasn't going to argue - there's a big difference between sitting on 8 points rather...

    CarpiMoto

Another vote for Carlos at Carpimoto - had an issue with my rearsets but he replied quickly, sincerely, more than resolved my issue and I would not hesitate to use him again. Perfect customer service - if only BMW dealers were as friendly, efficient and as satisfying to deal with as this guy.

    Four Runs Out,,Four New Faults

I had the rear bearing dust seal melt to the rear l/h wheel spacer after they replaced my spocket carrier etc BUT didn't bother using any grease on the rear assembly - this produced a pretty decent squeak from the rear wheel.

    Urgent 2012 owners please read!

I think I was the first to report this issue (June 2012) on a May 2011 bike - had the cush rubbers replaced which didn't solve the issue (grabbed the sprocket and it still moved when I went to pick it up from the dealers and told them so), so the sprocket carrier was also replaced - the lateral...

    Urgent 2012 owners please read!

Can you let me know what 'the man from Germany' said please - I have 750 miles on my replacement cush rubbers & sprocket carrier and the play has returned (clearly visible movement of the sprocket carrier over the left hand rear wheel spacer). My warranty is up in a couple of weeks and I'd like...

    Road Tyre Pressures??

2400 miles is probably a 1000 miles more than most! I got about 1500 and I was trying to look after it - you could kill a K3 rear in a 1000miles on an S1K.

Please could all owners do me a favour.

Keith Code: Twist of the Wrist 2 (£20 book)...nothing will make you faster (or gain a better understanding of bike control) for £20. Arguable, but IMO it will make you safer too. Also consider the more track focused Soft Science book.

Please could all owners do me a favour.

Yes I know, I initially thought it was a bearing issue & that's why I insisted they replace the S/C/Bearing after they decided to just replace the c/rubbers (which DIDN'T resolve any of the lateral play or all the rotational - due to the SC moving away from the hub). Only the replacement rubbers...

Maxton Shock Info - If anyone's interested. :)

Agreed /\ My understanding is that the LOW speed valving works initially, reacting to gradual (SLOW) compression forces, then the shim stack blows when the low speed valving is too restrictive to allow the oil to pass through quick enough, opening up the high speed valving to take care of sudden...

Please could all owners do me a favour.

My 2011 had 3500 miles on it when the cush rubbers AND sprocket carrier were replaced due to (IIRC) 8, maybe 9mm of rotational movement (at the sprocket teeth) and 1-2mm of lateral play (could be pulled away from the wheel towards the swingarm). You could also twist the sprocket diagonally. When...
