Superstock legal wheels for Gen 4

The carbon wheels feel awesome on the new bike but I'm an expert at breaking stuff and they look like a money pit waiting to happen! It still doesn't seem logical to me; loads of people will buy the stock bike and spec the extra 'M' bits that they want so I can't see how they can enforce it?

    Telemetry reader

Thats great to hear and will save a lot of hassle. Does anyone know if the existing Aim Gen 3 harness cable works on the Gen 4?

    Laguna Seca announced

I'm very tempted by this but it would need a few days in Yosemite since I'd be over that way. Taxman is busy smashing me at the moment so I can't book for a while yet so plenty of time to think about it.

    X-lite Helmet

I've been using the X-Lite x-803 for a few years now after being a Shoei man previously and love it. We are supported by them in the team but I would genuinely continue to use them regardless as they are an awesome bit of kit. I'm going to buy either the x-903 you posted or the flip up X-1004 uv...

Superstock legal wheels for Gen 4

Re: Superstock Legal Wheels for Gen 4 Thats an eye opener. I can't see that continuing to be the case as apart from the advantage of having them; it would be horribly expensive to replace them if they were damaged.

    Jerez Oct 10-13

I mentioned in this or another thread the same. I always check where the rubber tie is when I'm looking at suspension travel data and it's so unreliable I think it is a bad idea to use it. I've literally never had a good measurement even by accident. If I didn't have a suspension pot sensor then...

    Adding modes Gen 3

I can't speak with 100% authority but I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. When you buy the bike you cannot enable the performance pack / slick mode until the 600 mile(km?) service so I'd have thought ordering it later is just the same.

    Akrapovic full system and warranty

Thing is it is extremely rare for a guy in the dealer to understand much about the ins and outs of the ECU and flashing so unlikely they would even notice. I suppose if something very serious happened like the engine blew then maybe they would want to get it looked at closer but most of the time...

    Gen4 Battery

I've had the same experience since converting it to a race bike and there's no dodgy wiring or switchgear on there. It was never a problem as a road bike; I literally left it in the garage for 18mths and it started first press of the button but since then the lithium batteries seem to drop like...

    2020 New Bikes

I did the same with the new S1000RR, I put a deposit down as soon as it was announced last october.

    2020 New Bikes

I'll be sticking with the BMW order but it's hard to imagine the Blade being anything but seriously good bearing in mind how much of a low Honda have been on for a few years and the investment in Bautista and Haslam in WSBK.

Best Gen3 battery - the big one with the alarm system

I'd be avoiding lithium batteries on a road bike with an alarm system and potential electrical problems anyhow. I consider them an essential mod on my race bikes but they are very prone to failure/going flat in comparison to normal batteries and it sounds like you dont need the extra...

    TT SuperBike 2019 1200km

Thats sexual. I'd be tempted to go for that over the Gen 4 if I wasn't having to finance the damn thing anyhow!

2019 Overseas / Euro Track Events Calendar

I've put a deposit down on the Pacedayz Jerez trip on Feb 22-24th. I'm a bit wary of February tbh since the last couple of years has had heavy rain at the end of Feb before we have gone out for early March but January is generally the coldest month in Southern Spain so fingers crossed it will...

    Monners Gen 3

Yes mate, Hickman and Michael Laverty are usually there instructing as well as the racers on the Pacedayz team, sometimes the other Laverty brothers are there as well.

    Monners Gen 3

Had an awesome three days at Alcarras with Pacedayz Trackdays this weekend. I think it's one of the grippiest tracks I have been to. The first day track surface temperature was less than 10 degrees in the morning which is the point at which it gets really dodgy in the UK on the slippery MSV...

    GEN4 Recall October 2019

Christ thats not great. If something is breakable then if anyone is going to break it it will be me so I'll have to change my order!
