I've never used a Pinlock before, but BMW included one in the box. And the shark visor is recessed so that it fits very well. I've usually packed up riding for the year when the temps get this low. But I'm running the bike in, and the pinlock does seem to stop the visor misting up.

Dark visor for my Bell M5X was around £35, and that was pretty thick. Wasn't recessed to accommodate a Pinlock though.

Probably wouldn't cost much to CNC the S ports, when the machine is already programmed to cut the M ports. Likely just to leave some distance between the 2 engines.

When I was shopping around about a month ago, only one out of the 3 dealers I spoke to admitted there was something new coming for 2025. They didn't have the spec I wanted, and said there wasn't much left in the UK warehouse. I wonder if what's coming will be restricted like the yank bikes are now.

I've noticed this on my 22 and now my 24 RR. When pulling away, even on the flat, it takes more revs than I would expect to pull away smoothly. I didn't get this on my 13 RR, so I'm wondering if it's because the hill start is holding the bike?

I don't think those footrests would dig into the sides of my shin bones as much as the standard footrests. How much were they?

The salesman I bought my last 3 new S1000RR's from reckoned the bike makes too much money for BMW to drop it.

The standard footrest position on a Gen 4 is right where I like to put my foot down when I stop, which means it digs into the side of my shin. Would rear sets move the footrest horizontally as well as vertically?

I'll see how they feel for the first 100 miles while running in. May just fit a Rosso Corsa 4 front to start with, if I don't like the feel of the S22.
