    S1000RR Manual

^ There wasn't ever a 'pdf' manual of the Service Manual. It's a DVD which runs on Windows which BMW stopped selling to the public inc current models. J

    Recall

More treasured memories.... ^^^^^^^^ A big group of us were in France during the fuel strike of 2001. Very entertaining on big V-Twins. ;)

^ That brought back memories of my big twins. All thirsty as. 80 miles when riding in a spirited manner. ;)

    Datatool

I have the Datatool but also added an Apple AirTag. (Works with other phones) It?s so accurate that I can ring the dealer up when it?s out of the workshop and sitting outside the shop. The service guy is always confused when I ring and say it?s outside the shop and I?m on my way. I have one on...

    2D potentiometer

I?ve got the R&G lock stops with the 2d Sensor and they are plenty thick enough to stop the sensor hitting the rad. I actually thinned them down to give me almost full lock.

    2D Potentiometer Gen 3

FYI: 150mm from Gen 3 fits the Gen 4 but you do need the Gen 4 fitting kit. J

    IAT & Flappers

Guys, Just doing the big service on the 2020 Gen 4 and was amazed at the IAT positioning combined with the flapper valves in the inlet. I had a nightmare this year in the Mountains when the temperatures got high or on our hot days. The bike was so, so fluffy below 6000rpm. My mate was on a 2022...

Cornering ABS can be retrofitted on the 15's. Only a software update. I did that on mine. J

    How do racing teams work?

Alex, I don't doubt you but I read it was the same guy. 3 of them involved. Hey, I did read it on the inter web ;)

    Caliper clearance

Keith, I'm not sure if it's your Gen 3 or 4 but as long as you have the gap on the left side between the ABS Ring and Pick up is correct ie around 0.7mm (from Memory), then the only thing that would affect the caliper side to side spacing would be the forks being slightly twisted in the yokes...

    190 or 200 rear tyre?

Remember one manufacturers 190 can be bigger than another's 200. It's all daft. Similar to Fork oIl. 10W is meaningless. On the road I prefer 180/60 or 190/60's as they feel more neutral and in step with the front. 200's always feel like they what to tip slower than the front. Track if I still...

    How do racing teams work?

So TBM's mechanic who assaulted him in 2019, had become McPhee's Crew chief this year. He's also the same guy who tried to stop the factory KTM leaving the pits by grabbing (Fernandez from memory) this year. https://youtu.be/lNZYj9CJ9Vc As far as racing goes, it is generally.... if the...
