    Winter Tyres

I've got the Road 4's for this winter, loving them, grip in the wet is flawless, on a hott day it's easy to make the back spin up when powering out a corner but the DTC sorts it and makes it fun to ride. I've got about 2000 miles on them already, still look like new. Which is good as the...

    Winter riding

Ride all year, have done on my S thou for past 3 years, use bike daily no matter the weather. This year I'm using Pilot Road 4's and they are amazingly good for this weather. Normally though I will ride with what ever tyre the summer has left me with. Bike handles the salt roads fine, but I do...

    S1000 RR Mode Settings.

The chart was passed on to me by local dealer, where they got it from no idea.

    S1000 RR Mode Settings.

I've asked this Andy to dealer and BMW Germany, both told me its not doable. I asked dealer if 11 ecu could be updated, asked Germany if a 12 ecu could be put in an 11 bike. Wasn't given a reason but answer was no to both. Dealer surmised that maybe the difference in rake and wheelbase could...

The anti wheelie is the traction control. They run on same electronic system. Bike has a Bosch lean angle sensor, this detects bike is going upright, DTC detects different wheel speed and then cuts power.

    S1000 RR Mode Settings.

Its true, but all models also have the degree of lift thing. So in rain and sport it will only let bike lift up to like 25 ish degrees off the floor So in race, it will let you wheelie but won't let you flip bike, after a certain degree of lift it will cut engine.

Thats 2012 onwards. The 10/11's had less power in rain, only 143hp and Anti wheelie pretty much instant in Rain and sport.

How To Disable S1000 Taillight & Break Light For Track Days

Oh my god. We have a true real life time traveller here. Is the 2103 model a huge improvement bud? hehe Unless the 2103 ;) is different to a 2011, can you not just unplug it in under pillion seat?

    race tyre pressure

Doesn't sound right to me either. And if its not a track specific tyre then extra contact area doesn't make any difference really, it will still lose traction at about 1g of lateral force whether its at 20, 33 or 42 psi. Track tyres hold up to 1.3g of lateral force. People running road tyres...

    shorty levers

I've compared mine to pazzo and titax, the look and feel is identical and others have agreed. Horses for courses. If you want to spend that much money on a nice little engraving then get pazzo or titax, if u just want lever colour to match bike or want Shorty's get the Chinese ones.

    shorty levers

No no no, I think I said if you weren't happy with them for ?16 I would. But the fine (super fine, to the point you didn't see it) print had a 28 day expiry clause.

    shorty levers

Chinese lover here. Black shorty's from china ?16, almost 3 years and 13,000 miles later, still as good as day I fitted them. I know others have them on here, only name that springs to mind is bananaman (and i might be wrong with that)

    Balance new rear tyre ?

Cos it doesn't really need to be balanced, your not going to notice an unbalanced rear wheel for road use. How many years did bikes go with unbalanced wheels? No one use to say "oh I wish my wheel had that 2g weight on it" In my experience, an unbalanced rear only really becomes noticeable...
