    Gsx-r 1000 2014

Test ride the ZX10R, in my humble opinion by far the best sports bike from Japan, loved the original R1 but think they have gone backwards ever since, the blade has been refined so much over the years it's effortless to ride but effort equals reward and it just isn't rewarding to ride. The...

Fastest Production bike in the world

Ok for a sunday morning blast, not good to go away on, three or four hours running then eighteen charging.

    Helmets

Had two arai RX7's one of which split from the top visor opening on the right hand sode to the top centre, saved my life though. Also many years ago I had a bell star, scarily a similar accident split that one through the centre from left to right with only the chin bar on the right hand side...

    Helmets

Go on the gov sharp test web site, make a list of top performers that you like the look of then see which give you a perfect fit then search reveiws. High price doesn't always equate to top performance.

Legality on Mirrored visors in the UK

Police regularly check you here if you visit local meeting places but if you have a legal one with you for night time they let it go, number plates and zorsts are a good earner for them though although harley riders seem exempt from the zorst rule.

Legality on Mirrored visors in the UK

It's not the mirror, tint colour etc thats the problem, it's the amount of light that they filter out, same as the level of tint in car windows, had a pair of mirror goggles that were road legal.

    Knox Gloves

The sizing of them seems off to me, mine are xxl when I normally wear L, armour wise they look the most protective I have ever owned and are reasonably comfortable but the blade on the back of the hand on mine is also a loose fit so will be glued in. Not as comfy as my alpinestar gloves.

    Leaking calipers?

Brake pistons a consumable item ? Seals yes but even these I would expect a reasonable service life.

Maybe moving from the Dark Side

Being a S1000RR forum opinions may be a little biased so to add a little balance I would say the ZX10R's electronics are as good as the beemer. Build quality on all bikes bar ironically ducati has gone backwards over the last decade or so.

Rant - Insurance for New Riders

Fact is most new riders have a get off in their first year and insurance statistics prove this, factor in the OP's circumstances and he is a high risk, then factor in the bike he wants to insure with his limited experience and most would see him as a suicide jockey.

ouch that is going to smart a bit!!!

maybe the TT circuit but still an open public road that will always have slower riders, totaly down to the guy that hit him going way too fast through traffic and he even under took the bike that was filming.

    What a Cock?

The guys a tool, fact, if you have been at the aftermath of a major bike accident you will know the devastation and trauma it can cause, a split second later and that would have been a head on with the car and probably a fatal. Anyone with half a brain cell would have looked at that footage and...
